BARATANG ISLAND VISIT
Your journey begins at around 3:00 AM from Port Blair by road through the dense tropical forest to reach the starting point of the entrance, which leads to the Jarawa Tribal Reserve.
The gate is opened by the forest department officials for Baratang and all the vehicles are allowed to pass through the Jarawa Tribal reserve in a convoy. Often you might see a member of the Jarawa Tribe while passing through the tribal reserve. At the end of this forest journey, you will reach Baratang jetty.
Launch service is available to cross the sea bay. Then enjoy the breathtaking fibre boat ride through a fascinating Mangrove drive, which leads to the start point of the trek to Limestone caves.
Trek through dense forest to reach the Limestone Cave. Made up of the mineral calcite (calcium carbonate) the cave contains beautiful cave formation, later after returning e lunch and then Proceed to the Mud volcano, one of the rarest thing to see the wonders of the nature.
